Pawcket (“Pawcket”, “the app”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a pet care tracking application that helps you log care activities, health records, and reminders for your pets. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information. Pawcket is designed to work entirely on your device, offline.
1. Information you enter
You may enter information such as pet profiles (name, species, breed, birthday, weight, photo), reminders and schedules, care/activity logs, and health records. This information is stored only in the app’s private storage on your device. We, the developer, never receive, transmit, or have access to it.
2. Photos
If you choose to add a photo of your pet, the app accesses only the specific image you select through your device’s photo picker. That image is stored locally within the app. It is never uploaded to us or anyone else.
3. Information we do NOT collect
Pawcket does not collect your name, email, or any account information (there is no account), your location, your contacts, analytics or usage data, or advertising identifiers. The app contains no tracking or analytics tools.
4. Device permissions we request
- Notifications — to display the reminders you create.
- Alarms & reminders (exact alarms) — so reminders fire at the exact time you set.
- Run at startup — to restore your scheduled reminders after your device restarts.
- Photos / media — only to let you pick a pet photo; the app accesses only the images you choose.
You can revoke any of these in your device settings. Some features (such as reminders) may stop working if related permissions are denied.
5. Data storage and backups
Your data is stored locally on your device. If you have Android’s system backup (“Back up to Google Drive”) enabled, Android may include Pawcket’s data in your device’s backup to your own Google account. This is controlled by your device settings and Google’s terms, not by us. Separately, if you use the app’s export/share feature to create a backup file, that action is initiated by you and the file is sent only to the destination you choose.
6. How your information is used
Information you enter is used solely to provide the app’s features on your device — showing your pets, reminders, logs, and records. It is not used for any other purpose.
7. Sharing and disclosure
We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your data to any third party, because we never receive it in the first place. Your data leaves your device only if you explicitly export or share it yourself.
8. Analytics and advertising
This version of Pawcket contains no analytics services and no advertising. If we introduce these in a future version, we will update this Privacy Policy and the app’s Data Safety information on Google Play before releasing that version.
9. Children's privacy
Pawcket is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. As the app does not collect personal data at all, this is inherently limited.
10. Data retention and deletion
Your data remains on your device until you remove it. You can delete individual entries within the app, clear all app data via Settings > Apps > Pawcket > Storage > Clear data, or uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data. Note that any copies included in your device’s Google backup are governed by your Google account settings.
11. Security
Your data is kept in the app’s private, sandboxed storage provided by the Android operating system. No method of storage is completely secure, so we recommend protecting your device with a screen lock.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above and reflect any material changes on this page.
