HirePerHour — On-demand staffing marketplace — vetted hourly workers booked in minutes, not days.HirePerHour

Overview

A two-sided staffing marketplace for Indian local businesses: post a shift in under a minute, see vetted workers with ratings and hourly rates, and pay only for the hours booked. Built for weekend rushes, last-minute no-shows and one-off events across hospitality, retail, warehousing and events. Launching in Chandigarh Tricity, Mumbai, Delhi and Punjab.

The problem

When someone doesn't show up, a small business has hours — not days — to fill the gap. Staffing agencies are slow, contract-heavy and marked up, so most owners fall back on group chats and luck.

The approach

1

Designed the shift-posting flow so a business can put an open shift live in under a minute from one dashboard.

2

Built worker profiles around trust signals — ID verification, business ratings and a transparent hourly rate.

3

Modelled the marketplace by role and city so supply can be opened market by market rather than all at once.

4

Shipped a city-scoped waitlist to build both sides of the market ahead of each launch.
