Looking for a freelance Ionic developer?
Ionic is where a lot of my longest client relationships started, and it's the work my clients have been most specific about in their reviews. I build cross-platform apps that ship to iOS, Android and the web from one codebase — with Angular, React or Vue underneath, depending on what your team already knows.
The usual reason to be here: you need an app on both stores, you don't have the budget for two native teams, and you'd rather not maintain two codebases that drift apart within a year.

What you can hire me for
- Ionic apps with Angular, React or Vue, deployed to iOS, Android and web
- React Native builds where native feel or animation performance demands it
- Capacitor native integrations — camera, push, geolocation, biometrics, offline
- App Store and Google Play submission, including rejections and resubmissions
- Upgrades and rescues of stalled Cordova or legacy Ionic projects
- The backend behind the app — API, auth and real-time sync

Why work with me on ionic & mobile
One codebase, three platforms
iOS, Android and a responsive web app from the same source. Homecare shipped exactly this way — web plus a companion mobile app, one team, one repository.
Web skills, native output
It's Angular, React or Vue under the hood, so your existing developers can maintain it. That's a hiring advantage, not just a build one.
Native capability when needed
Camera, geolocation, push notifications, biometrics and offline storage through Capacitor — with a native module written when the plugin doesn't exist.
Store submissions handled
Certificates, provisioning, store listings, review rejections and staged rollouts. This is where first-time app projects usually stall, and it's included.
Offline as a design decision
Field staff, patchy connections and background sync planned for up front, because retrofitting offline support into a finished app is close to a rewrite.
React Native when it's the better fit
Ionic isn't right for everything. If your app is animation-heavy or genuinely native-feel-critical, I'll say so and build it in React Native instead.
What I build
Booking and appointment apps
Availability, scheduling and reminders synced live across devices — the shape of the Homecare healthcare build.
Field and operations apps
Job lists, checklists, photo capture and signatures that keep working when the connection doesn't.
Companion apps for a web product
You already have a web app and customers keep asking for the mobile one. Shared logic, shared API, one team.
App rescues
An abandoned Ionic or Cordova project brought up to a current version and back onto the stores.
Shipped, not theoretical
“Sunil has strong skills in IONIC Development and I like his sincerity and smart work skills. I strongly recommend him and will hire him for sure for next tasks or projects.”
“Sunil is highly talented resource in IONIC Framework. He did few projects to me and I was really impressed with his work and on-time deliverable and smooth customer handling. I highly recommend Sunil and I will look forward to work with him more on my projects.”

Questions people ask first
Is Ionic good enough compared to a native app?
For most business apps — booking, field operations, dashboards, content, commerce — yes, and it costs a fraction of two native builds. For games, heavy real-time graphics or apps whose whole value is a native interaction feel, it isn't, and I'll tell you that at the scoping stage rather than after.
Can one codebase really serve iOS, Android and web?
Yes — Homecare is a live example: a booking platform running as a web app and a companion mobile app from a single codebase, with availability synced across all of them in real time.
Do you handle App Store and Play Store submission?
Yes, including the parts nobody warns you about — signing certificates, provisioning profiles, store listings, privacy declarations and dealing with review rejections. Both of my published app projects went through this.
How long does a cross-platform app take?
A focused app is typically 6–10 weeks including store submission. The Homecare build ran 8 weeks. Complexity in integrations and offline requirements moves that more than screen count does.
Can you take over an existing Ionic app?
Yes. It starts with a paid review of the codebase and the build pipeline, because with abandoned mobile projects the deciding factor is usually whether the signing credentials and store accounts still exist.
